Encouraging children to grow their own vegetables by letting them pick what kinds of veggies they want to grow and eat can be a great way to get kids interested in gardening and eating more fresh food. Siblings can often become competitive with their growing and if they have their own little plots that they take control of it can become a bit of a game for them as well. In the video below some gardeners visit their local primary school to offer help and advice to some children creating their own vegetable plots and learn the basics on how to plant seedlings and to tend for their garden.
